It will only the be the Tuner part that doesnt work, if indeed it doesnt. An add on Tuner box. (Freeview box in UK speak I think) Is less than 50 bucks now.

Bloody hell that's good. Wish I'd known, we bought a new tv for the bedroom about a year ago, It's ok, a Sony, but not that much cheaper than a grand and definitely not as good as the Viera. I was stuck at home unable to get about and he was in a rush to get one.
