UK Tax Rebate

How long does it take the UK tax office to sort out a tax rebate when you leave the country?
I recieved mine after a month, but 2 months down the line, hubby hasnt heard a thing.
He was a permanent resident in the UK, but still paid tax like everyone else, surely he should be entitled to some of it back when he leaves the UK mid tax year.
We submitted the forms in the same envelope. Do you know if they would have paid us in the same cheque. The remittance they sent for mine wasnt great, but it did have my employers name on there, so I have assumed we are still waiting for Dans.
Have any other Ex PRs of the UK got tax back? Is it just wishful thinking that he will get something back?

Although you sent the forms in the same envelope, they may get dealt with by different offices. Which tax office you belong to, has to do with you your employer is. For example, the tax office dealing with my affairs was Kent, whereas my husband's is Manchester.
Whoever opened your envelope will have forwarded the forms on to the correct offices (or the forms may have gone lost ...

I'd give it a bit longer and then contact phone/email the Inland Revenue helpline quoting your husbands NI number (and his employer's name and tax reference if you know it). Or, if you know your husband's tax office, contact them directly.

Maybe someone could clarify this matter?
