UK Fest
At last, ex pat Brits will have the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate all that’s ‘GREAT’ about the UK, with the anticipated launch of the Inaugural Ukfest.
After 3 years in the making, Peninsula Events Australia in association with International Express, British Football Week & British Balls Magazine will (aptly) host this unique indoor/outdoor festival on Queens Birthday Eve, Sunday June 8 at the Peninsula Theatre & Grounds in Mornington & look forward to the event featuring many (if not all) of the UK's most Celebrated Traditions in 1, Jam Packed Day, Full of Festive Fun.
The main festival, which is being aimed at families &/or groups of all ages, will run from 11am to 5pm with highlights including the Peninsula Events Australia Live Main Stage featuring Cover Bands playing hits from the 60’s right through to the 00’s, plus a Giant Video Screen, The Cozy Three Lions Pub, Treats from Home Food Court, Covent Garden Style Outdoor Markets, IRN-BRU Traditional British Games Arena, The One Stop Bar Shop Darts Championship, The British Football Week Penalty Shootout Competition & The International Express Pub Quiz Championship
And from 6pm onwards ‘Live After Dark’ will kick off offering party goers (18 yrs+) the perfect opportunity to let their hair down & party British Style! With DJ’s & Top Cover Bands playing hits from the 60’s right through to the 00’s, live on the indoor main stage, the anticipated British Balls Miss Ukfest, Celebrity Look Alikes, a Giant Video Screen playing British Pop Film Clips, Hilarious British Comedy & much more.
Paul Harvey of Peninsula Events explains, “If you look around Australia most other nationalities have their own annual festival/celebrationl except us Brits, so I thought it was about time I put that right, by creating UKfest. Which will enable event goers to sit down with friends and enjoy traditional British food, washed down with a cold pint whilst listening to great British Music. There’ll also be loads of other entertainment & traditional English festivities for both young and old to get involved with, which we hope will provide a fantastic day out for everyone involved”.

Re: UK Fest
How did it go HARVS? Wish we could have something like it here in Sydney. There used to be Britfest, but the lovely chap who organised it died and the event went with him. Was very successful though.
