UK car insurance no claims.
Is a NCB transferable ? Do I need to get confirmation of this from insurers before we leave or do we all start again ?
Thanks

I believe it is, or some of it.. Take your proof of no claims and present to your new issureres

Most Oz insurers work off a Rating system, if you say you have 5 years claim free ,they will start you off on the top one, which is rating 1.
Also, OH used ncb from a car policy in the uk for his bike insurance here, he's now sold the bike & gone back to a car & got it transfered back without a poblem.
He would not have been able to do that in the UK.

We did everything with QBE when we first came, but we didn't shop around like we should have. But he paid about $400 for a KTM 640cc, he's only just got a bike licence,as he never had one in UK, and he's 40.

motor insurance in OZ always seems cheep, but it's only because you pay the third party part of it in with your rego - well, we do in QLD.
