Another glowing advertisment for Brisbane. Well I'm not going dispute you on that one. Thankfully I don't live there.
It probably gets about 8 weeks of nice weather in winter, like the UK, lets say London, gets three weeks of it in summer. Yeah Hobart, sometimes, I was there in Jan, the weather was awesome. I even swam in the Derwent it was that good. A rare thing. |

Brisbane weather is fantastic, day time temps never get too far into the 30's in summer for an extended period and never drop far below 20 in winter for an extended period. It's just mild, beautiful weather for most of the year. This summer has been particularly mild.

I love humidity, it's great for your skin. Dry heat and cold cause you to be constantly moisturising, I prefer to do it just once or twice a day.

To be fair we have had good weather really for us in the Peak District so far at this time of year and this past week has been beautiful, we have been gardening, walking in the Peak and sat outside having meals etc we all look really well spending time outdoors, our youngest said yesterday its more of a pleasure enjoying the good weather here than it was in Aus, I know in Perth we had plenty more sunshine and it was guaranteed every year, you could plan a bbq months ahead lol but late Spring/Summer and early Autumn for us was not a pleasure way, way to hot to enjoy but I do now and again miss the thought of having a consistent Summer but that's northern Europe for you, it still does not stop you enjoying a huge amount living in this part of the world has to offer though.

Tell that to Moses. I live in Sydney. We don't get snow and the weather for the most part doesn't get the extremes of Melb ir Bris. I'm just the middle man here.
In parts of OZ, it would either rain all day, or it would be far too hot. Here it can rain in the morning, but you know it will clear up and you'll get a good evening with pleasant temps. Northern Europe certainly has it's advantages too and if I want sun during winter, I can easily travel to Spain. If I was retired, I would still rather prefer to stay here from March to October and just spend 4 months in Spain (That's the plan, but far away:ohmy:). While the summers might be more consistent over there, I would actually get bored after a while. |
