TV Techie Question
Has anyone experienced or know about a slant appearing on the top left hand side of their tv picture after shipment. I've heard it's summat to do with the earth's magnetic field or one of the yokes coming away or loose in the back of the set. Has anyone else had this happen and how was it fixed?

Use magenetically shielded speakers such as those that come with many home cinema setups.

Check in the handbook, but failing that you will need an engineer to get into the installer menus and adjust the picture manually! Nothing is wrong just an adjustment is required.

it's not a rotational problem just one corner.

If its a crt, does it rattle? It might be a magnet glued to the tube has fallen off.
Could be quite a few other things unfortunately. There are high voltages inside a crt telly, and they can remain for some time after you switch off. Generally not fatal but you can get bad injuries from pulling your hand out quickly and involuntarily. If you are feeling brave you could have a look and see if something is obviously loose or fallen off.

Did you take out electrical derangement insurance? If so - then maybe you can claim for it.

No link.
If the OP reads their insurance policy they can check to see if it is covered.
