Exclamation travelling to other countries with poss difficulties as PR

OH work want to send him to Fiji soon, which could soon have a military coup. Now the Australian government have sent 2 ships into the area on standby to evacuate Australians if need be.

Now I assume this would be Australian citizens and not Australian PRs - would that be right? Should he go, & should there be a coup would he have to rely on Brit gov to do (or not) do anything?

Is your OH's work trying to tell him something?

Why don't you call the australian embassy and ask them. You could also ask them their advise on your OH going or not.

I would ask work if sending him there is in the best interests of the company and would they please check who would look after him in the event of a coup. Also how much extra danger money they are willing to pay.
