Default Travel insurance for the over 80s

Hi, wondered if anyone out there had any experience of this. My FIL if 89 years old and on regular dialysis but otherwise in reasonable health. Is there any companies that would provide travel insurance for him or is this very wishful thinking?

Many thanks

FIL is 75 and takes a stack of pills!!!

His daughter-in-law is a district nurse who works with OAPs and she recommended http://www.saga.co.uk/.

He had already bought medical insurance but it was cheaper for him to cancel the policy (paid a fee) and go with Saga.

You could also try http://www.ageconcern.org.uk/AgeConc..._insurance.asp.

You also need to investigate how easy or difficult it will be for him to access dialysis whilst he is away & the costs involved.

Try Saga my father got insurance with them 4 years ago at the age of 90. Expensive though £600 for 3 weeks.

Saga or the Post Office. Both were willing to give MIL insurance for 2 months costing £500 and she has bad asthma.
