Hi

i've just been sorting out that today. You could try direct travel, american express, the post office and go walkabout. All these do a one way emigration policy - I phoned just to make sure. Prices do vary. For a family of 4 ranged from £26 to £104. Depends how long you want cover in place for after you arrive. We opted for American Exp which covers you for 5 days at a cost of approx £26

Hope this helps

If you are emigrating... Just beware, some travel policies will END when you reach customs. We used one that gave us 17 when we arrived and included car hire collision damage waiver amongst other things.
Have a search for Go Walkabout

We stopped off and had holidays in a couple of countries en-route to Australia and still had cover when we arrived through Go Walkabout.

Hi guys,
Just been looking at this travel insurance, We are looking at taking out travel insurance with go walkabout, for 21 days. As my employer has been kind enough to arrange some accomodation for 3 weeks.

I have been quoted £83 for two of us based on 21days with their emigration policy.

I couldn't actually find what this policy covers exactly.

Anyone had any experiences on this type of policy?

Kind Regards

Dom

I have eventually gone with direct travel 0845 605 2700 £48.00 for a family of 4 covered for 17 days one way with stop over, you can pay abit more and have a bit more cover on possessions etc but both cover medical up to 10,000,000, cancellation, baggage etc etc. Call and they will explain, best quote i had.
