transfering money to Oz/rent or buy??

transfering money to Oz/rent or buy??
Just a quick one for a bit of advice - visa all in and just the long wait to go....
trying to get an idea of how people have found the process of transferring money - if anyone had any idea of the best companies to use? Or would it be better to just open an HSBC account and pay all the money in there??
Still deciding whether we should sell the house here or rent it out? I want to sell and buy after six months in Oz but My Mrs wants to keep the house here ("in case we come back sometime")
Has anyone rented there house out here then regretted it when they were in Oz?
Im an Estate Agent so I will be able to sell it for free here - which would save 3 or 4k - so I think we should sell rather than end up having to sell later - when we want to buy in Oz

We used, and continue to use, OZForex or their UK counterpart, UKForex . Very good, very easy to use...
House stuff seems to be personal choice... Although being an estate agent it must be easier for you to sell it from Oz than for others in which case there's not much to lose by keeping it for a while until you're fully settled into your new life... Just in case...

We use them too... excellent. Save yourself heaps of bank charges.
