Hi,
I have managed to get a new job in Australia and am looking at my Australian super options should I return to the UK at some point in the future. I know there can be hefty fees and taxation transferring UK pension to Oz and am wondering whether it's similar vice versa? If so, is there a way around it? As I may be contributing to the fund as well I don't want to find out later on that most of my own contributions are gobbled up by tax and fees if I do transfer it to the UK.
1) Are there any specific Australian Funds that are 'transfer-friendly'?
2) What typical costs are involved in a pension transfer Oz-->UK?
3) Does anyone have experience of transferring theire pension back to the UK?
Any advice appreciated!
Erwin

From the information I was given you cannot move an Aussie Super to the UK if you are a permanent resident.
