Also if you are planning to drive to work - consider the cost of parking during the day

All Aussie cities have a lot of traffic. It does depend on where you live, where you work and how long your lunch break is........ I usually have 15-20 minutes for lunch and sit at my desk surfing BE

Not many do, and those that do mostly give the spaces to senior managers, parking in Brisbane CBD is around $50 per day.

If you live close by, then you could make it home and back.

Out of town its fine but in the CBD almost no restaurants have their own car parks, you're stuck with public parking. In CBD's most people don't drive to work, they take the train or bus (or tram in Melbourne).

Parking for the whole day is usually $20-$25 in the cbd or $8 in fortitude valley. Short term parking is the killer...can be $65 for parking 3+ hours.
