Default Tradesmen in sydney

Me and the oh are moving to sydney in july, just got a few questions that someone out there might be able to help me with.

can you work on new houseing sites like you do in the uk i.e on price?

is it true you can be on a lower tax rate if you set up a company?

do you need a licence to work on site or is it only when you work in peoples houses?

do you know any good web sites for carpenter jobs on new housing sites
or even better if any one has got numbers for carpentry contracter.
Much appreciated if any one gets back to me, just would like some sort of job lined up before we go.

cheers paul
