TRA nightmare
i am a self employed hairdresser with my own salon, when filling out the TRA application form it asks for evidence from clients on letter headed paper, obviously my clients will not have this, what do i need to do?
and who qualifies as a certifying officer, is there only a solicitor who can do this?
confused and need help

cant answer your first question but
if you go to your local magistrates court they will do it for you
be aware thogh because some charge up to 8 pounds per doc and some do it for free as we found out its just a case of contacting a few which are not too far away ( if it helps ) we went to chester magistrates court
it didnt cost us
good luck with the long journey of applications
i am a hairdresser and we are applying on hubbys occupation because i had no previous proof of work experience
good luck

Why don't you just try to get some of your clients to put their name and address on because it is your own business as long as your refs are verifiable (which they would be) you should be fine. Also we took all our docs and stat decs to a solicitor we did not need an appointment and they did them for £2 per page ......... because there were a lot I think they felt sorry for us and only charged us £20 well pleased hope this helps
