Told the family last night and I think it went as well as could be expected.

Mum and Dad said they had been preparing themselves for the news but when it came it was still a shock to them both. But they both said they were happy for us and in the end it was our decision and they would support us. Know doubt mum was putting a brave face on things and was probably in floods of tears as soon as we were out the door I will have to pop round tonight and a real good chat with them both. Brother and sister were also happy for us but said they would miss us terribly and wouldnt know what things would be like without their big brother their to support them.

But they were already all making plans for their first holiday to Oz with my brothers girlfriend especially excited.

All in all it went as well as it could but it was one of the hardest speeches I have ever had to make. Made the reading at my sisters wedding seem a walk in the park.

And now there is no need to jump off Trent Bridge (although after the Forest result last night it could have happened).
