I am after some advise on getting the timing right. We have got our visa's but yet to sell house, but as soon as we sell we will be going.
My question is did you get quotes for your container straight away, or wait untill the house is sold and then get quotes. Not sure on the time scale between getting quote and actual shipping.

Don't want to look stupid by phoning shipping company for quote without having a actual leaving date.

I'd get on to it now... It'll take a bit of time to get everyone around to have a look then you've got the negotiation to go through... What happens if you get lucky and someone views your house tomorrow and pays the asking price but needs to be in in a month...?
