Default Timelines for 136 MODL?

Hi,

We are applying for the above visa and lodged with DIMIA on 16th Dec. Just wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat so I have got someone to obsess with. We have just sent everything off (meds, PCC) unrequested and now playing the waiting game which is killing me!!!

We are currently in rented accommodation and the lease runs out on 5th June. Do you think we will have our visa by then as I am stressing that we are going to be homeless.

Someone slap me!!

Emma and family (heading for Gold Coast, but don't know where)

Whilst nothing is ever certain most MODL's seem to be going through quite quickly so you should be fine.
People on non MODL seem to be waiting longer however.
The good news is that it is all a lot better than it was a year or so ago when a lot of applications took years not months!!

Good luck.

Brian.

Hi we are on 136 modl - were given a c.o. and file number on 6.1.06 - the wait is killing us.
Our Agent said the timeline quoted is upto 5 months to request meds - n pcc - but it is unlikely to take that long .

They have asked us not to front load our application, which is strange as most people on here have done.

took us just 6 months from July 2004. We've been living in Melbourne since last April.

And that included getting my qualifications approved by relevant assessing body. Also - we waited till they asked for the meds and we had to pay the gov't bond (as we were 5 points short) - all of which adds time to the process.
Who knows, you might get your visa quicker than that!!

I think although this has been a tricky and long journey so far - our agent is confident with paperwork submitted so its just a waiting game for the meds.

Get this one : I have been that worked up - in this last month my bp went up at a check at the GP last week :scared:

I need to chill out and try and forget about it , otherwise wont pass meds !

We lodged 29/6/05 and were granted our visas 26/10/05

A friend of ours, same trade, lodged 28/06/05 and was granted her visa 11/02/06

Maybe different slightly different circumstances were involved.
