Default Tiler looking for work

Hi

I've got 20yrs under my belt in tiling, coming early november to Gold Coast area. Hope anyone can give me any pointer in the right direction

Hi ring a company called guaranteed tiling, ask to speak to goody they have alot of work on the gold coast. I worked for them for 6 months when we 1st came over there from newcastle england, good crowd to work for.

Are you licenced in Queensland? If not, you will need to be before you can legally work. Further info....http://www.bsa.qld.gov.au/Home/Build...ngInformation/

N o you can legally work for someone else, also if you are working on your own you can work under a certain amount with out a licence

You sure can You only need a licence if you want to be a sub-contractor/contractor. If your happy to work for wages, far less stress, then it's not really that important.
With tiling it's difficult to stay below the $1100 threshold as it's inclusive of materials & labour, that limits you roughly to under 16m² per job, not nearly enough to pay the bills
I don't know the situation down there on the Gold Coast but up here there's no shortage of builders that love to rip off unlicenced blokes, I know a few that have been stung for a couple of grand. It happened to me while I was waiting for mine to come through:curse:

Don't worry i've check it out but thanks anyway. Be thankful for any job offers out there.

Regarding job offers they wont come to you, i,ve given you a contact, google them and give goody a call, we all try and help, but a little thanks would be good at times carl
