Hi all, Making the big move sometime in November, really unsure about where to rent, like the thought of Berwick & surrounding suburbs.
Whats your thoughts?

Great area to start from Linz, very few move far afield though. I'm sure you would like it.

Have quite a few friends there and nearly moved back there. Have a look at upper beaconsfield and around that area as there are some great spots.

We lived in Berwick for 7 months whilst we were renting. Most of Berwick now is new builds on new estates and the old part of Berwick is expensive to buy. My advice would be do not rent anywhere that you couldn't afford to buy a house of your own. The reason being that if you rent there for a year and love it you may not be able afford to buy your own place. We moved out to Pakenham and purchased a house that would of costed us another $60,000+ if we had purchased it in Berwick. Beaconsfield is lovely but can be pricey as well.

I basically feel that Berwick is becoming polarised between old and new.

New is south. Its's like Narre Warren etc - Fountain Gate land - estates.

Old Berwick sited on what would have been the old village is a lot nicer. Nicer still are the villages/townships to the N, NE and NEE. Pakenham is going the same way as Berwick now.
