For those questioning if they are doing the right thing another reason to go!
Life is too bloody short!! You never know what is round the corner!!
Today I found out a friend has cancer she is early 30s and gave birth to her first child at the end of November!! She had been having back ache and stuff throughout pregnancy then last week couldnt stop being sick was taken to hospital and found to have a blockage they operated immediatley and found a tumour which they removed and today found was cancerous , she is going to have chemo and hopefully can be treated!! So fingers crossed all will be fine,
Also this week a young lad from my daughters school was knocked down by a car and is in hospital with a fractured skull!!
This is in no way ment to depress anyone in fact for me it makes me realise how short life can be and how fast our so called great life can change in the flick of a switch!!
So for those who have the doubts am i doing the right thing (me included)
just go for it lifes far too short not to take a chance!!
Be Happy

Live today as though it was your last!!

Hi Kris
How sad about your friend I hope all goes well with her treatment. It is events like this that make you stand still and take stock of life.
I never save my best perfume for a special day I wear it everyday. I always make amends with my loved ones in case I never get to say sorry the next time I see them. I make sure my 'family" are healthy and most importantly "happy". I do think life is too short and try my best to be as happy as I can and to live it the way the suits me..!!!!
Good for you I wish you all the best for Oz....

Re: For those questioning if they are doing the right thing another reason to go!
Sad stories. Yep, I couldnt agree more. I don't post here that often now as I'm enjoying myself here too much.
For me the fear of "not trying" became greater than the fear of "trying".
We have been here now 13 months and gone through some tough times. If your strong and realistic about your expectations then ther's no reason why you can't get on here. Some people expect it to feel like a permanent holiday. It won't reality kicks in and the mundane chore of work begins again. For me working life is far less stressful and there are some fantastic places to visit during the weekends.
Keep your feet on the ground, be brave, take a deep breath and go for it. Like you said life's too short and whatever happens it will be one thing you wont be asking "what if" when your older.
Good luck,
65KK

Cheers all , this wasnt ment as a sympathy thread just a stop and just think how quickly your life can change so really make the most of everyday or at least most of them!! for me when awful things happen it kicks me up the ass and shakes me out of the what ifs and negative thoughts we all must have during this process!!
My friend it seems will be fine the doctors arent too concerned at the mo she has to recover from the op then will start chemo in a few months so it all sounds good and she will make a full recovery Big Relief!!
