For those in Oz - what insect is this ?
I decided to have a bit of a sunbathe in the garden today and laid down only to see lots of woolly bubbles on the lounger. They then started to move !!
At first I thought I was seeing things as it was quite a hot day, it looked like a miniture Michael Bentine Potty Time show. Unfortunately I then found a big black spider inside the back of my knickers so had other things to think about but does anyone know what they are and do I need to be worried ?
I took a picture but can't seem to add it here but they only look like white dots anyway.

No idea. There is a creature inside the woolly 'hat' which you can see when it moves - it's about 1mm long and looks like an ant or spider although I didn't see any legs. When it stops moving you just see the hat bolt upright on the lounger. Wierd.

Maybe the spider laid some eggs on your lounger?
We don't seem to be troubled by too many spiders indoors and around the patio since we had the pest control people round spraying the house.

Needless to say hubby was amused and felt more sorry for the spider than me
Then he spent most of the evening trying to work out how it got into my skintight knickers
I'm just glad it wasn't a redback - I couldn't have faced the hospital with my ar*e !

Eeek! Scary! Sounds like a spiders nest to me. They grow in little fluffy white/yellow balls.
