Hello,
well the visa is granted! Yippee!!
Everything is organised. We have two weeks in Perth start of July when we arrive.
Anyone got any good ideas on what to do and visit? Ive got four kids(2boys,2 girls), including a son 15 and the youngest daughter 2!! So need something to keep most of them happy!
I will be based at Regal Apartments for the 2 weeks which is located at Regal Place, East Perth!!
Havent a clue what its near!
So any recommendations welcome please?

From: Oldham - Port Kennedy in June 2007. Lovin it!

We went for 2 weeks last August though our kids are younger than yours, I can only suggest the usual touristy things to do/see!
Perth zoo is slap bang in the middle of buildings in perth!!! There is an aquarium at Hillarys boat harbour, you could take a boat ride from the bell tower, visit perth mint. If your accommodation is any good they should have loads of leaflets in reception re things to do.
One place I will recommend is Cahoona wildlife park. Like a zoo (only no elephants and giraffe's!) but you get to walk in amongst them and feed kangaroo's and have pic taken with koala bear. Ne'mind the kids - I loved it!!!
Planning on taking family and friends when they come to visit us.
Hope you have a good time whatever you do.

the zoo is actually in south perth not east perth, so you would need to take a bus to the city centre and then probably get the ferry across for a different sort of outing, there are always stacks of parents with 2yr olds at the zoo in the mornings!!!
you could go down to fremantle for a couple of hours, thats about all you need for freo!
kings park for a wander around, there is a great kids park there called sticky beaks which the 2yr old would love
hillarys boat harbour for some lunch and a play on the beach if you get a mild day which there is only a slight chance of in july
Caversham Wildlife Park in Whiteman Park if you have a car to get there, thats not too bad
Probably not going to be a huge amount to keep your eldest one happy because the weather wont be warm enough for going to the beach but you could always take a trip to Cottesloe just for a look at the beach!

Cahoona is moving to byford this year so not too sure how they will do there
we went to the old one begining of this year and it was a bit rubbish as they had moved most the animals to new location.
but still was good holding the koala bears, they look cute but they dont half stink.

Rockingham beach is loverly and the water is still so great for the little ones.
Take some food as they have free bbqs to use and there is shelters near bbqs too it is really loverly to go there for the day and have a bbq.
found the aquarium in hilarys a bit dissapointing not really worth the money to be honest and it will only take you a couple of hours to get round it.
Hope this helps.
