Hope not but it does seem likely, wasnt it only just last year a guy was camping and got dragged from his tent by a similar sized croc, he survived tho after his mother in law jumped on the crocs back.

I think thats terrible ... to shoot an innocent crocodile ! Its man thats encroaching on his territory.

If the snakes and spiders don't get you the crocs will. If the crocs don't get you the sharks and the deadly jellyfish stingers will. If the sharks and jellyfish stingers don't get you the packs of wild dingoes will.

It's just been on TV, and the locals cannot work out why Mr Jeffries, who has, apparently, been going there since the 80's, actually went out in a tiny canoe, in the crocodiles area.

Beaches up here are regularly closed because of croc sightings, a few months ago a particulalrly cheeky one spent the whole day swimming up and down on tne very front of Cairns esplanade. :scared:
The signs are here on the beaches. Personally, we swim and have fun in the sea year round. I wouldn't go into the creeks and rivers mind you, especially further up north.
We saw a beauty on the Daintree river a few weeks back - glad we were safely ensconced in the ferry at the time!!!
