Is there anything I shouldnt miss in Sydney this Christmas?
This is our first Christmas in Sydney. A friend mentioned some carol concert near the Botanical Gardens was happeing just before Christmas and I believe there may be one or 2 fireworks let off in the harbour on New Years Eve -- but is there anything else we should definitely not miss out on this Christmas?

PM me or email and I can give you all the details of everything!!
I am an Australian, lived in the UK for 3 years till august then just moved home, dragging my (english) girlfriend back here with me!
We live on the central coast so spend lots of time in Sydney.
Carols in the Domain (see the website) is great for families - its on the Saat before Christmas in the Domain (near botanical gardens). Lots of famopus performers siniging carols - out door picnic, sit on the grass, take a blanket tuype of thing. Santa comes, carols etc.
New Years Eve.
There are fireworks at 9pm and at midnight - be anywhere near the barbour - best vantage points are Mrs Macquaries chair. Lots of vantage points right around the harbour - look on the net and you'll get some ideas. Some places are not as family friendly as others - mainly due to crownd numbers more than anything - gets a bit danagerous with toddles and a millino other people!!
Have fun!
