That's the house packed
Well pickfords are just loading up the contents of the house onto the van not to be seen until we get to Melbourne.
Every thing has gone very smoothly and I can't credit the lads enough.

I have not even tried to sell the house yet, very soon in the new year and hopefully it sells quickly if not then i will just rent it and then try sell later.
Im probably going away maybe end of may and just wanted an idea of when maybe we should be looking into shippers,by the way how much did they cost you or what was you quoted if you dont want to say on here just pm me.
Was there stuff you thought you could take and was recommended not to,was the container you had big enough, did you have a lot of stuff to ship.this will be something i need to look into soon and just wanted an idea etc

and try to work out where everything is.
Box marked 'kitchenware' has computer cables etc.....probably where the packers got bored with labelling.
Our container arrived last week and we still have boxes everywhere.

Re: That's the house packed
our stuff was collected 27th Sept, sailed 6th Oct, arrived Melb mid Nov and was released by AQIS 2 weeks later...so you need to sort out a 'survival pack' for your arrival here but it is amazing how little you can survive with!

Sorry for the delay in relying not had Internet access.
Well we completed on the house today so we are officially homeless.
Pickfords did the survey on 27th Nov and packed everything up on 8th Dec.
we just went with pickfords as they were recommended by a few friends, the service so far has been first class

Good luck, safe journey and happy landings.
As long as the French don't go on strike it should take roughly 6 weeks to get your stuff.
Ours took 3 months, thanks French dockers, and we got tired of camping in an unfurnished rental in winter pretty quickly!!
