After 15 months of waiting we finally got our 136 visa ack date 31/07/06
We have to validate by 30th Jan so Dad will be selling our house, just in time for the price crash no doubt

Delay was down to dependent stepsons pcc, nothing serious but some recent problems which meant in April our case was sent to the brisbane character assessment unit for further checks.
Our pcc's run out on 30/10/07 so they have extended validation date by 3 months could have done with 6 months really but I'm not going to argue now.
