Telecommunications
Currently out of work after working for several small companies in Melbourne. Looking for anyone who knows of any opportunities with employers who are looking to sponsor - preferably Telstra.
My experience is as follows: 15 years experience ranging from civils, cabling, fibre optics, copper, exchange surveying, next gen & DWDM commissioning, exchange superstructure installation, R&D with BTExact Technologies in the DSL field, project management (Exchange rollout based work). Employers include BT, Easynet (BSkyB), Lucent, NEC and several small network build companies doing work for Telstra in Aus. Currently out of work and caught in the dreaded 457 visa loop.

Sorry 'the bloke' I've sent you a message asking what your e-mail address is by mistake - I should have sent it to Buzzy Bee.

Re: Telecommunications
Thanks again..... I worked for Marconi for 6 years.... luckily for me I managed to stick with network management platforms on Unix, which is quite universal (not simply telecomms). Then even luckier I landed a Unix role with an investment bank. Although after 12 months there I went back to telecomms (BT), at least my skills are usable in other areas. I feel sorry for the pure telecomms people, in the current market a lot of my friends are struggling....
