teacher training???
hi
i was wondering if anyone can advise
it has long been a desire to train as a teacher and we also fancy trying australia too.
would it be better to train here in the uk and then try to immigrate or better
to study to become a teacher in australia.
what way would a student visa work once the course would be complete and what is the liklihood of converting this student visa to a more permanent one?
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,
what level of teaching were you interested in? I've just moved to Melbourne after graduating from uni with a 3 year primary education degree - unfortunately primary teaching has been taken off the skilled migrant list and in order to teach over here they only except (this is in Victoria) you if you have 4 years of university study.
I would recommend training over here - it will be expensive however as you may be classed as an international student and therefore have to pay international fees :S
If it's secondary teaching then I know that they are crying out for high school teachers so may be different in that case.
I hope that helps - good luck in what you decide!
