Default Taxpayers prop up Big Brother

Well the good people of QLD should withhold their taxes until this shite is dumped.
The punters here are milked enough without keeping crap like this on the box.

QUEENSLAND taxpayers subsidised the first three Big Brother television series for more than $700,000, the State Government revealed today.

Arts Minister Matt Foley today told a state budget estimates committee hearing that each of the Network Ten reality-TV series, filmed at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, had received $100,000 in cast and crew rebates.
Department figures revealed today showed that each series also received a $134,777 payroll tax rebate.

As well, a $2.5 million repayable loan was provided in 2001 by the Pacific Film and Television Commission.

And taxpayers will continue to provide support for the present series.

Interesting, bet someone took home a lot of someone elses money.
