Default Tax Returns.

Hi folks, I would be grateful for any tips or advice. I worked for 6 months in the UK between April and Sept (some subcontracting some agency) before arriving here in October (it was March before I found a job). I now realize that even employed people in Oz have to fill out a tax return. Is it possible (or any benefit) to do one tax return to cover both or should I be doing a tax return in each country? Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Tax Returns.

You'll have to do an Aus one anyway.

Depending on your circumstances you can do one for the UK in addition. If you were a normal employee in the UK then you are probably due some tax back if you have not already claimed through the P85.
