Tax on overseas income
Hi friends,
I am all confused after reading so much about tax. But still to find an answer.
I am on a 138visa. Going to UAE on a 3 year contract. I will be paid my salary by a local company there. I plan to transfer some amount in the local bank here in Oz.
I have a TFN.
Do I need to pay tax on my salary income in the uae. Also is there any tax implications on transfering my savings here ?
Please help !!!

As for UAE tax, contact the UAE authorities.

i have not paid any tax as of date as I have just arrived. Not yet employed here. Just have my TFN number.
The UAE authorities are least concerned what you do with the money earned there.

I don't think you have to pay any taxes on your UAE salary as UAE salaries are tax free also you'll be a Non-resident Australian so no tax issues in AUS either unless you have earnings from imcome there, also I think there's no Tax on transfering funds/money to AUS.
