Hi there

When we had a working visa and worked for awhile in Sydney we were told that we would be classed as self employed and would therefore be responsible for paying our own tax. We never got around to it. We only earned a few thousand dollars. Do you think this could affect applying to migrate to Australia, do they check things like that? We did pay on other jobs.

I seem to remember on one of our forms it asked if we owed the Australian Government any money.

Cant quite remember which form it was as it was a while ago.
