Hi

Bat and I have been in Sydney for just over 7 months now and are thinking that we should probably see an accountant about our tax return situation. We're earning interest on bank accounts in the UK and we have a fiddly pension situation (I had four UK pensions, two of which I managed to transfer into super after the 6 month deadline but before the UK tax changes on 6 April 2006). Does anyone know a tax accountant in Sydney who would know how to handle that kind of information please? Preferably CBD or North Shores!

After the same information, so if anyone can recommend an Accountant
in Sydney (Northern Beaches, Chatwsood preferably) that would be great!

when hubby did his tax return in oct we used HR Block they have offices all over but we were impressed they were efficient,helpful and reasonably priced.

With all due respect to HR Block, they are usually OK for the typical Aussie taxpayer. Those who are newly arrived migrants or those who have overseas tax issues may find the depth of knowledge is not as required ... proceed with caution ...
