Oh dear Cathy sorry to hear that, I think you just need to make a decision and stick to it, you've missed out so much by hesitating.:unsure: Decide between you and Andy how low you are willing to sell for and don't go below that price and stick to your decision. It may take a little longer to sell but at least you have made a strong decision that you are both willing to stick to. I really hope your buyer is just around the corner so that you can move on with your life. I have to say I don't envy your position, I think I would rather have twins than be in your situation!! lol :lol: (I'm sure I won't be saying that when they have me up every 3 hours for a feed!) he he

Oh Kezz how beautiul, what a bonus for your new life. I am delighted for you. Laughing a the Nanny bit, you're just going to have a network of friends to help you out. Would be lovely to meet up when I am over. I love dishwashers, in Tassie we are not on mains so I recycle the water back into the gaden, but they are a god send.. Strangely enough we have more than enough water in Karratha and no dishwasher hahaha.... Pease keep me posted on your pregnancy, I love babies, and thank you for the welcome x

Hi Teabag and Sammie T thank you for the welcome, it is a beautiful place. After WA Teabag Tassie must be very different for you, but this wonderous country has so much to offer everybody. Sammie T, Hobart area is beautiful, I love the markets there, particularly the Black Hmongs from Laos, their veggies ae just wonderful. They are wonderful people as well, I worked with them in the hill tribes for 7 years and their babies are sooooooo cute.... Nice to see positive people in the Tasmania thread, I am giggling here, I was a bit annoyed to see all the whinging in ne thread and said so, was accused of being a racist, he he he... difficult to be racist when you have adopted asian kids hehe. Thanks again for the welcom, and Travelbug hang in there, you will soon be over here.

Hi :) Oh i thought you mean't you drove it all the time :lol::lol: that'll teach me to speed read! Yes, we thought the South was beautiful, but i guess it's like the North / South in the UK - both have lovely places....will just have to decide what feels right when we eventually come over i guess..:)
Nice to see we have a Dr on the thread now as well - we're a right good mixture of people on here! :thumbsup:

Hi Kerry, thanks - i think the guy is playing games with us, i think sometimes people with money who are buying for business reasons only often forget how much money means to a normal family! :frown:
We'd already decided our bottom line figure that we were prepared to drop to, and this guy's offer (the one we were going to accept) was already under that....hence the reason it took us 2 weeks to re-consider... So now that he's dropped that £10,000 there was no way we'd consider it...
I think the hesitation part was not selling back in 2007 (as Andy likes to remind me every so often :sneaky:). Still, i had my reasons back then for not selling, and i cant turn back time, so onwards and upwards hopefully :lol:....At least in the future we'd have learned from this (she hopes!)

Still cant believe that by the summer you'll have twins :blink::blink:
He he, who's going to be a busy little bee then eh? :)

Now where's that furniture polish....(just incase we have any viewers today or tomorrow! :lol:)

Cathy, I would drive it all the time if I were to collect a million bucks each time, hehe but its a fair old drag, I think when we leave Karratha in a year or so I think that will be the last time we do the trip, I am so excited to see the other side, as well. Yes Cathy as far as north and south go, Hobart is my favourite city, but all our friends and family are North and we have a place on the River Tamar which is beautiful, so I have no complaints whatsoever. We are surrounded by vineyards, cosy tea houses (welsh) we even have a small gold mine near us. You will know where you want to be, you just get the feeling "This is it" hahaha. Are you bringing your own furniture etc over here? This is going to be so exciting for you.

He he that's what we did when we sold I made a fresh expresso and wafted it through the house just before they arrived!:rofl: It worked though the house sold to the first viewer.:thumbsup:

hehehe doesnt it just. I love the smell, I also had candles burning everywhere as well , chill out music and a bottle of plonk in the fridge, sold also to the first buyer. I sold a house in Scotland, which was my house, then we married and lived in Karratha, came back to sell the house, and under Scottish law my husband (ozzie) had to give me permission to sell MY house, I was totally stunned. Nothing stranger than law eh hahaha

Hi Sam, you can tell you love your home in Tas by the way you describe it and the area you live in. :thumbup: That's really nice to hear...

We will be shipping whatever we can squeeze into a 20ft container when we do move. Ideally we'd ship it all out a few weeks before we leave the UK ourselves to give it all a headstart so that we're not without too much stuff for too long... Our plan is then to get somekind of self-catering/holiday type accom for a few weeks and during that time sort out what area we would like to get a rental in (& hopefully find something we like).
It will be exciting, and i'm looking forward to all the newness of it all... Although i'll probably find it a bit scary when the time comes as well :blink:

We keep forgetting about the bread thing...;) The problem with the coffee thing is that i have never drunk tea or coffee myself - so the only coffee consumption that goes on in our house is Andy my OH's and any visitors that might ask for it - so i have no posh coffee machines or posh coffee for that matter :lol:
We do burn candles though before a viewer arrives, and i know they smell really nice... I haven't noticed anyone pull a face when they've walked in so hopefully the house does smell nice and clean ha ha...

Isn't that funny about the Scottish Law thing - but then again that particular law was probably written a 1000 years ago! :lol:

Cathy, I feel excited for you, and I know you will love the friendliness of Tasmania. I have an english friend in Tasmania who came over when she was in her twenties with both parents here. she longs to return to the UK but the UK she remembers isnt the same and she needs to go over just to satisfy herself she is in the right place. It is a big decision Cathy, but I think when you see the childen's faces you will know you have done the right thing. Havng young children you will make friends easily. Holiday home/rent sounds a great idea so you are not pressurised. My container took 3 months to reach Tasmania via Singapore, had great removals and packers , it was so strange seeing my belongings once again and in a different land. Yes laws are a funny thing Cathy, my husband was shocked hhehe.... I do love my home, I have left a son back in London whom I miss dreadfully, he is an adult and another in Korea (easier to get to hahaha) but we have the infamous Skype and Messenger, so life for us is much easier than for the lst immigrants hahaha and the boys always have a choice in either meeting us in Oz or Asia for the Christmas holidays.

Got an update too.

Finally sold our house but way under what we wanted. Had to bite the bullet as at this rate we would be spending more on flights than what we lost in the value of the house. The Mrs goes back to the UK tonight to sort every thing and hopefully be back in just over a month. Good luck to any one (and there are a few) trying to sell.
