I'm glad that Christmas is over...not because I don't like it it's just that the next thing after Christmas for us to look forward to is our Aussie holiday.YAY!!

I can really concentrate on the last minute plans and of course the shopping , not too much as I must leave space for more shopping in Sydney ;)
Obviously i'm most looking forward to finally getting to Tas , and just seeing what it's like...I think we will love it ( fingers crossed)

Very excited .....ooh I have my 20wk ultrasound on Monday to look forward too as well , so I will know if i'm having my 5th!! Boy or my 1st Girl!! BUSY MONTH xxx

I will miss this fab weather we are getting in dreary Wales though :p

Good luck with the ultrasound. We have just had our fourth baby, a boy after 3 girls. Miracles do happen! :)

You had a balmy morning for the marathon! How did you go with it? I saw the lady winner, only been running one year, she did well!

How was Xmas in NZ?

Hi......could someone already living in the lovely Tas give me a rough idea of living costs there please? Things like weekly gas/electric/water/phone/ins etc would be great. Trying to work some figures out to see what type of wage hubby needs to get to let us survive on his pay :eek:
Thanks,
Beth x x

no gas supply here.

elec over last 12 months = approx $800.

water included in rates: rates $1500 this year.

phone approx $40 per month.

house+contents ins about $400 per year.

car rego $550 this year, car ins can't remember but i can find out.

all the above obviously depend on your circumstances and usage levels !

Do you mean there is no gas supply in Tas as a whole....or you just don't have a gas supply?

Re: Tasmania??

Some homes have piped gas, but a lot still have to rent Cylinders (about $110 per cylinder)

My Elec for a family of four (3 females who unfortunately love long showers) is $750 per quarter.

Internet is $70 per month (20gb download)

Mobile is $45 per month

Health Insurance $220 pm

Rego is Car Registration

Re: Tasmania??

I met a bloke a while ago that is fitting more and more gas pipes to homes. Most homes aren't connected to gas, but if you live in a residential area, you can pay to be connected. Don't know how much it costs though. Gas is a relatively new thing to Tas:eek:

Zoe I'm really pleased for you mate!! I envy you to be able to buy pink clothes!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're ok to fly!
