Seriously we do have nettles in Tassie as to whether they sting and as to whether we have dock leaves I will have to enquire in the days ahead.
I hope yor daughter has a lovely day.

Goodnight
Oldgit

Hi Oldgit - my daughter had a lovely day at the farm yesterday...
They got to do quite a bit - and learnt more than i thought they would (although i'm not surprised as her new teacher is what i would call an old-school teacher - really good compared to the young teacher she had previously)...
She was giving her Dad a lesson about Lanolin when she came home yesterday.....but typically being kids (especially 5 years old) - the thing her and her friends have talked about most is the fact that one of the cows did a massive poo and wee whilst being milked!

5mins ago our postman and my nextdoor neighbour knocked to tell me that two windows in the side of our car have been smashed...
I've just had to ring Andy to get him to come home from work to sort it out....
Andy is fuming :mad::mad::mad:

Our next door neighbour uses a strimmer thing out the front of his house - and quite often kicks up stones - he previously scratched our last car

Thing is - although i've heard machinery going for the last hour or so - i dont know whether he was out the front or out the back - and how do i prove he's responsible (which i'm sure he was as he was a bit shifty when he knocked!)

Good job we're full comp on our insurance - but we're still going to be the bloody excess out of pocket and Andy's loss of wages for the rest of today!:mad:

Days like today i really need to move!

thanks Kerry...

Andy's got to take the car to the RAC window place later this afternoon - which means i cant get into work early myself today now - so i'll be working late tonight to try and get my hours done - and what i cant do i'll have to work tomorrow - so i'm really pissed off as well now as i hate working the weekends ...
Andy's going to lose half a days wages - and the excess is £60.

I have just hung some washing out - and our next door neighbour had the gall to stand by the fence and tell me about "how it's happened to his car in years gone by". He's such a liar. :frown: Why he couldn't just admit it's because he was using this machine thing i dont know.... He doesnt want to come out when Andy gets home i know that  I told my next door neighbour that if Andy was to find the person that did it he'd kill them!

Just told Andy to ring the estate agent and tell them to knock £5,000 off our asking price for the house......

Definitely time to move........

Forecast today for a lovely 19 degrees celsius, up on the North-West coast. Not bad seeing it's only a few more weeks before the start of Winter. :D

Forgive me for butting in but I have been to Ulverston twice quite a thriving centre and friends took me for a walk on the beach we went through a beachside park with a war memorial to the navy . Lovely clear sea water
Sorry please continue, ignoring my untimely intervention, and have a nice weekend
Yours butting out
Cheers Oldgit

It's been in the 20's for the last few days - mean't to reach high's of 24/25 at the weekend here... Not bad for us for May... bit of a shock to the system for most people though - no pleasing the English - we moan about the bad weather and then moan when it's too hot! :D

Yes you English are always moaning:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hey there,
So glad she had a lovely day on the farm.
I bet she knows more than I do :)
Giving her dad lessons on lanolin wish she would do the same for me;)
I use Oil of Ulay does wonders for my complexion I don't know what my friend uses on the cows:lol:
The cows we agist are beef not dairy milkers so i suspect we don't use lanolin.
We have cows and horses ( Dexter cows and Connemara ponies) but they belong to an Australian lady who lives close by and she grazes the land off us and keeps the grass from becoming a fire hazard in the summer.
Yes all cows poo etc when you have visitors they save it all up and then....
Tomorrow will send a pic or two in case she has farming in her veins:D
Cheers oldgit
