Up in NW EUroLand where we live now , on maybe 2-3 days a year
( maximum ) it might taste/smell ever-so-slightly slightly over-chlorinated , otherwise it's fine - so using bottled water for drinking/cooking is entirely uncalled for ;
how good is the tapwater , where you live , in Oz ?

Tastes of chlorine, so tend to drink filtered or bottled water, ok for everything else tho.

From my days in Sydney I remeber it being not that nice & I believe that in Adelaide it's disgusting.

Melbourne apparently has the best tap water in Australia. Adelaide I wouldn't go near, Sydney is ok I think but no idea about the other cities.

I dont really notice much difference in taste to be honest apart from it being horribly warm unlike the Scottish tap water which is freezing
!!,since last year we bought a Kambrook water filter & chiller so we all use that,think it holds nearly 3L of water but we are having to fill it up 2/3times a day,come the summer its going to be an endless mission keeping it topped up! Only cost $79 & keeps the water lovely & chilled

Not at all impressed with Adelaide water but I understand this varies quite considerably.

Plus my hair goes a lot fluffier when I wash it now. That used to happen when I used to stay at my aunties farm in Wales when I was a young girlie!
Some strange observations I know - but probably an indication that the water is somewhat purer here than compared to certain parts of England (but not South Wales!).
The worst tasting / smelling water I've ever come across was in Florida. It smelt like my school swimming pool!

Best water I ever had was in christchurch NZ in a suburb called Opawa. Had the water come from an underground (aretsian) well. Was like drinking pure spring water. Bloody marvellous!

Been on tank water for a few months now and wouldn't go back to tap water - tastes bloody awful once you're used to gettting it out of the tank.

We're on tank water as well, far nicer than the chorinated tap water.
