Default Taking three dogs to Perth?

Can anyone give me some advice? During a previous thread discussion someone advised me that it may be difficult to bring out three dogs to Perth? Is this true?
Because if it is it may put a stop to my job interview.

Its certainly expensive but not so sure about difficult, unless they are one of the snub-nosed breeds which airlines won't carry. Check the council bylaws too for the number os pets per household.

Will be bloody expensive...

If your dog is a "restricted breed" there are additional requirement prior to them coming here...

Most councils limit dog numbers to 2 per household, though you apply for a special license ... Easier to have 3 if you live "rural"

I think you may have an issue unless you live rurally. I've just check a few council websites (Mosman Park, Cambridge) and it seems that you need to get a permit for any more than 2 dogs. The ranger visits the property to ensure that it is suitable ie fencing, space.

I know several people who have legal law abiding permitted and licensed three dog households around here....

Its not only a matter of whether the council allows it, but whether you can find a rental that will allow you to have 3 dogs. The Perth rental market is very tight and it's difficult for pet owners to find accommodations with 1 dog or cat, never mind 3.

As a landlord I would be more likely to rent my house to a non per owner first before someone with multiple pets.

I would say the chances of finding even a half decent rental in the suburbs you are considering with three dogs is close to zero.

Are you already in Australia? If not, then be aware of restrictions from November in bringing dogs into the Perth quarantine station. See
