Default Taking car or not

We are waiting for our visa's to come through and are wondering what to do with my beloved car.

I have a toyota landcruiser 1991 (newer style) 4.2 VX TD manual (8 seater) and if I am to sell it, I will get about £4,500. Can anyone tell me where I can find prices for a similar car in order for me to compare. We were on holiday there about 4 weeks ago and I am sure they were in excess of $20,000.

Thanks

Debs

Hiya Debs

Have you tried www.carsales.com.au. They have most makes of cars on there - new, used, private and dealers. You might be able to find something similar to compare.
Do you know how much shipping costs are for cars as this is something we are considering?

Cheers

I found this on another thread on this forum:

A guide to the costs would be £1,500–£1,700 shipping, £100–£300 shipment protection, A$2,250–A$2,750 in Australia excluding taxes, annual registration and insurance.

I have a shipping company out on Monday so I will have a word with them then and let you know. In the meantime, if there are any companies that are recommended, I would be grateful if anyone can let me know.

thanks

Thanks Dagboy. The problem now is they have 2 that look the same (a GXL and Sahara) and not sure which one mine is. Will have to investigate further as there is a lot of difference in the prices. Mine is a British VX TD.

Thanks

From memory the Sahara (high roof) was the up market model, if that helps.
