Are there many of you. The reason I ask is that the missus is a small town girl from Merthyr Tydfil and although she's excited about the move she's also worried about not mixing in. I myself was born in Perth and our son Charlie has just got his dual nationality. All my family are out there so I know that we will have support and and will be luckier than most making the move from across the pond. I would just like to ease her fear of leaving her Welsh roots and give her a warm fuzzy feeling!

where in perth are you moving to?there is a group of taffs that get together in mandurah,they are all from the south,sure theres a couple of them from merthyr.

Well we are looking at quinns or butler, my brother lives in butler and my mum lives in thornlie, will prob stay with my mum until we find our feet then settle in the northern suburbs

i think there is also a welsh society up north too,type it in on google.we are in rockingham,and from north wales :}

Hi guys i moved here from sunny ponty 4 months ago got my first job where there are now 3 of us from the valleys including 2 from merthyr so it seems the taffia are alive and well in oz any questions pm me and ile try to help.
