Sydney - Restaurant by sea plane
Sometime ago I recall a posting about a posh restaurant on an island near sydney, accessed by sea plane.
Does anyone know what it is called?
Thanks

They're all on the seaplanes link I think, which is why I didn't add my two-penneth (until now). Cottage Point Inn and Berowra Waters are two well-known ones, if not Jonah's.
I'd really love to do it but I'm not a great traveller, and suspect seaplanes are much more bumpy than helicopters. Barfing my way there would not be the most romantic start to a day out.

We did a day trip to France years ago, before the tunnel, not for the shopping but for a really great meal. Spent the entire boat trip back with my head down the toilet. Bit of a waste all in all.

It was more upmarket than we expected, which the Seaplanes people should maybe warn you about. We rocked up in t-shirts and shorts and dined amongst Sydney's jetset, footballer's wives etc

it was gorgeous. Fabulous owners looked after everyone, very relaxed conviial atmosphere and a fantastic day
The plane ride was hilarious - I was pooh scared when we took off, then you fly at like 500ft which is very low. We flew through a thunder storm on the way back which scared the bejeebus out ofus but we were a little 'relaxed' after the restaurant all afternoon sipping white wine.
The pilot was hilarious - he said the most advanced thing on the plane was his cell phone which he'd lost last week when it fell in the drink.
It really is an experience , didnt feel sick at all even in the storm because you fly so low you keep your sense of horizon and it really is very exciting - it was something like 400$ per person for meal + flights, and we spetn the same on wine between 4 of us.
