we have a dilemour.... Sydney or Melbourne???

I am a bricklayer and married with 3 kids, can anybody tell me which would be the best move?

Are schools any better than the next?

Are brickies more in demmand in one area than the other?

Sydney=Birmingham

Sydney = Birmingham? Er, I don't think so. Having said that I have only spent a couple of days in Birmingham

One big deciding factor is property in Melbourne is much cheaper than in Sydney. If you want to be closer to the city for a smaller mortgage then head for Melbourne.

OMG please someone tell me this is not true, We are going out to Sydney and are not wanting it to be like anywhere in the UK (no offence on Birmingham meant at all - there are some lurvyly guys in Brummy land)

Neither are anything like Birmingham or Manchester.

To the OP - do a search, there has been a recent topic on this with lots of opinions.

It's got to be Melbourne

Sydney if you have unlimited funds and you like vibrant cities by the beach.

Melbourne if you have normal-sized funds and you like vibrant cities by the beach.

LOL well i seem to have opened a can of beans here? i really dont think either sydney or melbourne is like brum or manchester??

i was looking to move to the sydney suburbs, but i think i will give melbourne a closer look gotta check em both aint i??

we have decided melobourne looks much better than sydney and there seems to be more work there for me (bricklayer) too and yep ypou were all right you can get much more for your money in melbourne too so melbourne it is!! thanks all, great site!
