mcstu1 - could you confirm the name of the cafe by the kayak shop that you referred to earlier. I assume you feel that it is child friendly enough.

OK - weather promises to be good so let's firm this up for the playground by the lake at Narrabeen. For anyone relying on sat nav I reckon if you plug in 1393 Pittwater Road Narrabeen this should get you there ok. (This is the address of the community centre right beside the playground) And I found this:
Berry Reserve No 1, Pittwater Road - UBD 158 F4
Basically, for anyone coming down Mona Vale Hill, turn right onto Pittwater Road, follow it approx 5 km until it bears left onto the bridge over the lagoon, then go through one set of lights, taking the right hand lane as you will need to turn into the car park shortly after the lights. The playground is immediately on your left once you turn into the car park.
If anyone new is planning on coming and wondering how to spot us, either listen out for lots of English accents or pm me and I will let you have my mobile number.
See you all Tuesday.

1. Goodwin Street off Pittwater road. This is the best one with new sun shadding, fully fenced, lots off ducks to feed, car park and prettier.
2. Near the tram shed and early childhood centre.
The Blowfish cafe is in the middle off both parks.
but whatever!

i'm confused as they are 2 parks on this side off Narrabbeen lake and i think people have been refering to both!

Re: Sydney FTC - Tuesday 2nd September
Definitely going for the park near the Tramshed - it is also fenced, has plenty of shade and parking and is better located to give more options for takeaway coffee / lunch close at hand. It's also easier for non locals to find. Maybe try the other one later on in the summer.
