Dear all

Sydney has some fantastic bars, and this Thursday - to make a change from a pub crawl - we thought it would be an idea to visit some of them!

So far, the list of potential venues includes:

The Argyle
ECQ Bar (where we may eat, as it's not ludicrously expensive)
Cafe Sydney (Customs House)
Blu Horizon Bar (Shangri-la Hotel)
The Summit (Australia Square)

Any other suggestions most welcome

People are welcome to come along to one bar, or all of them. A rough running order will be posted

Kick off will be 6.30pm.

Bearing in mind, most places would charge about $15 for a LIIT anyway. But without the view. So an extra $2 for a view doesn't seem too bad. And it's part of a pub crawl, so we'll not be in there for long.

I've been charged more than $2 more for drinks in some bars, and no view either

I only drink cocktails in lurid colours with obscene names. So if a Long Island Iced Tea became a Short Atoll Hot Shag and was purple and pink coloured (plus a few umbrellas), I'd have my wallet open in a shot.

Apparently, it's much the same as "having your brains smashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick."
