Sydney Cost of Living?
Hello,
My partner & I will be moving to Sydney in a few months time.
We'd be really grateful if someone could help us out with ball park figures for cost of living.

Utilities cost based on two bed apartment:
- Gas:
- Electric:
- Water:
- Broadband:
- Council Tax:
- Weekly food shop for two people:
- Gym Membership:
- Petrol:
- Road Tax:
- Anything else I've missed?

Expect it to be eye wateringly expensive then you won't be shocked
Seriously though, you are sensible doing your homework. DH works with a lot of people who come over on 457s then spend their time moaning about the cost of living. Everything you need to know is info in the public domain!

Upon first arrival it appears shockingly expensive, but if you do your shopping around the prices of just about everything wildly vary. Prime example fuel over the weekend. I saw it for $1.32/L in one places then $1.47/L down the road. Either way it sounds like a complete bargain compared to the UK.
