Technically the witch sent the monkeys rather than being attacked by them so rest assured, the only implication of anyone wearing stripy socks and a long black frock here is gelectrox - and wouldn't he look lovely in them.

Oh and did you know the same people who played the monkeys also played munchkins - I need to get out more don't I....

Re-read your message and ask yourself if you were new to Australia would this be very welcoming? It is dripping with sarcasm and is condescending to say the least. You don't live in Sydney and you do not represent the tone or feelings of the extremely friendly and welcoming group that the Sydney CBD drinks has become. The question was perfectly legitimate and well intentioned. I am not convinced your response was. Thankfully, the sender turned up at the venue and I truly hope saw the genuine camaradarie and friendship that exists and is extended to all who wish to join us.

Was good to catch up with you guys last night eve nthough we had to leave early for the atric monkeys! (which was very good but extemely hot)
May see some of you on Australia Day....if it's still on in the Rocks....I haven't checked for updates on that yet......

So... Sorry about the late reply for Australia day plans. We are having a BBQ in bondi, KRL is opening the doors of his flat which overlooks the beach.
