Default swimming pool costs

Hi,

Could anyone let me know how much an in ground pool is likely to cost. I would be looking at 12m by 4m solar heated.

I know there are a lot of different types etc so was after examples.

Thanks

I doubt you'd get much change out of 25k for that.

We are looking at an 8 x 4 and have had a quote around the 18k mark.

Then there is the pool fence, landscaping etc

Have you had a quote for the fence etc? I was budgeting $30k-$35k for it all, fence paving / concrete and fence, but have not got any idea yet, problem is will not have the house built until Dec so was trying to get a feel so I knew how much I needed to borrow at this stage.

we got a quote for a 8x4m last Nov and it was gona cost $24k......not heated or anything fancy....I am in the process of getting more quotes just now. Its a wee bit expensive up here....the further North you go the more expensive stuff gets they blame it on delivery costs etc...which is funny as the factories that make most of the bloody pools are in NQLD

Yep this is what we did, had the pool put in before the house started. Ours is 8 x 4 with a natural rock waterfall feature, no solar heating. it cost just over $20,000.

Probably depends on which state you are going to and what area in that state. As Biggy says they are oop north a bit so more out of the way.

We are currently having a 10 x 4 in ground built. We have outsourced lots of work to keep costs down but the basic cost to the pool company is about 25K. This is on a steep slope and we had to sort out lots of landscaping first and some again after. The fencing for this is another $5,500. We haven't looked at the cost of the solar heating yet but have the pipes in place already - most pool companies will automatically do this. I think the price for the solar blanket thing for a pool this size is around $3-4K

With everything else we have to do landscaping wise we will probably end up paying about $38K and it (although fab) is nothing amazing.

If you are on flat ground the costs can be kept down a lot more than we are paying.

We paid approx $23,000 for 10 4m pool (with spa), $5000 for paving, $1500 for fencing and it will cost approx $3000 for solar heating (when we can afford it!)
Your budget of $30-35k is about right then!

We have seen adverts for a 8 by 4 meter pool with wading area and waterfall for $15,000. All we need now is for the land to be sorted and then we hope to have the house and pool built at roughly the same time.
