Default Surrey/SW London

Hi,

My Fiance Sarah (25) and i are getting married in May 08 and are looking to emigrate in Aug - Sep 08 to either Brisbane or Perth to start our married lives together......

We are in our final stages of applying for our visa. We have recieved our police checks last week, had our medicals and have sent them off to our Migration Lawyers in Australia.

We don't personally know anyone looking to emigrate and would love to get to know others who are planning to go around the same time as us.

Hey guys - me and my hubby Neil are heading out this year to Brisbane.

I am nearly 30 and he is 32, been married for 4 years and enjoy a good drink now and then, however hubby is not quite as social as I am (until he has a few anyway!)

I am leaving to travel via NZ at the end of April and will meet Neil in Brisbane in June 2nd, stay in a short term accom for a couple of weeks and frantically try and set up a flat and all the conveniences by then.

I work in removals and Neil is IT applications engineer.

I have citizenship in Oz as I lived there for 5 years before coming to UK in 2002 - but I have only been to Brissie the one time about 8 years ago, so don't know jack about it - been doing loads of research on the realestate.com and ourbrisbane website. We are going to rent and save a bit longer and then maybe build or buy a house before any kids come along. I am also thinking of maybe going to Uni finally. I have a friend there that I used to work with in Cairns, but otherwise will be friend and family-less so always on the lookout for people to socialise (ie drink) with.

It you guys want to trafe info etc feel free to PM me. We are based in UB5 out west.

If you guys manage to get a few people together I could be up for a meet up - I seem to be running out of weekend though! Only 11 left for me.

Good luck either way!!

I'm hoping to go in the next couple of months on a 457 (4 year working visa), live in Raynes Park. Will tag along if we get enough interest.

No, not spoken to Emma. And my name was stolen from an Adam Sandler film if I'm honest, my name's not even Steve!

Found it!

I'm a 34 year old girl going out to Brisbane or Melbourne in around 3 months (waiting for my 457 visa to come through) so would be interested in meeting people in the same boat.

I'm in surrey at the mo................hopefully for not too much longer though!

Count me in if you get a good response.

We are in Surrey and would also be interested in meeting up with other BE members. We are family of five, me(nurse) OH (roofer) and our three littlies 9, 6 and 3. We have our visa, house on market and are headed for northern suburbs of Brisbane as soon as house sells. We have to validate by Oct so fingers crossed.

Hi all - well I am thinking the OP may not come on here too much since we haven't heard back yet, so if anyone else has any ideas about where and when maybe we should start throwing a few dates about??

I am on the central line so it's fairly easy for me to get into London. Or can use the car to get to somewhere a bit closer to those gatwick bound?

I only have 10 weeks left (yay) before I fly and already starting to plan out the final weeks to make sure I don't miss anything. I could do week nights, depends on how much you all are into drinking so if drinking is involved, then maybe a weekend works for me!

Look forward to trading info with you!

Hey Guys,

Sorry i haven't been in touch been away on holiday!!!!

Seems to have a bit of interest from others about a meet up!!!! My fiancee Sarah and myself are based in Kingston so anywhere near there would be fine. Although I think everyone who wants to meet up should say where they are and we'll try and find somewhere where we all don't have to travel to far.

Wow - so it sounds like you all live in Surrey then!!

I might have to tube it down or if I drive will need a easy place to park as I am not good with finding parking!! Although meeting up with strange people I might need a few to loosen me up...

Looking forward to a good meet up - any ideas as to a day or night, or a pub or restuarant or??

I am away 28-3rd March - please not that weekend

davidleonard1983 - since you posted first does that mean you will arrange the time and place
