Default Surf Warning SE Qld

Very strong winds combined with King tides expected on the Gold and Siunshine Coasts this weekend.
If you're heading for the beach at the weekend please take care as the conditions are likely to be very dangerous.

LIFESAVERS are braced for a nightmare weekend amid predictions of big seas and even bigger tides playing havoc with swimmers and surfers on the Queensland coast.
While the large seas of the past few days are expected to drop off slightly, the timing of tides with a full moon could create a potentially deadly cocktail of ingredients for beachgoers on Saturday
On the Gold Coast, lifesaving co-ordinator Stuart Hogben said a combination of strong winds and king tides would ensure lifesavers have their hands full across the middle period of both Saturday and Sunday on the outgoing tide.

Will leave the surfboard at home - and take the camera down then. Got some great pics of similar conditions last year.

Yep, they are expecting similar to last year - maybe not quite so spectacular but you might get some good pics
