superannuation
Hi All
I have a superannuation account in Aus which is bound to my 457 visa, which have a some amount in it. The condition is that I can withdraw that amount only if I cancel 457 visa or once it will get expired. I need that money for some personal urgency…
Now the issue is I am expecting a 175 visa very soon. And 457 will get cancelled one i get 175. So can I take out that super money bounded to 457? Or is there any benefit for me to keep it there? (other than just a superannuation benefit)
Best Regards

Re: superannuation
My understanding is that you can take money out if you accumulated on a 457 but then leave the country to return to your home. I don't think you can withdraw it in the circumstances you describe, although not an expert.

Re: superannuation
I don't know the detail but you definitely have to leave the country and have your visa cancelled before you can apply to have your super returned.
As soon as you have PR granted your super will be stuck and accessible only in the normal route for Australians
